Privacy Policy

The short version
We collect only what we need to run the platform, we keep it secure, and we don't sell it. Your church's member data is yours — we just host it for you.
What we collect
When you sign up, we collect your name, email, and organization details. As you use the platform, we store the data you enter — member records, financial entries, event logs, and so on. We also collect basic usage data like page views and error logs to improve the service.
How we use it
We use your data to provide and improve the platform, process payments, send you important notifications (like security alerts or billing reminders), and provide support when you reach out. We don't use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.
Who sees it
Your data is visible only to you and the people in your organization who have accounts. We may share data with payment processors (like Paystack or Stripe) to handle billing, and with infrastructure providers (like Supabase and Vercel) that power the platform. None of these partners can use your data for their own purposes.
How we protect it
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, row-level data isolation, and regular backups. API keys are hashed at rest so even we can't see them. That said, no system is completely immune to breaches, so we encourage you to use strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
How long we keep it
We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain your data for 30 days in case you change your mind, then delete it. You can request early deletion at any time. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days as part of our disaster recovery process.
Your rights
You can request a copy of all your data, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request deletion at any time. Just email us at support@churchos.app. We'll respond within 30 days.
Children's data
ChurchOS is designed for church administrators, not children. If your church records information about minors (for example, children's church attendance), you're responsible for having the appropriate consent from parents or guardians. We don't knowingly collect data directly from children under 13.
Updates to this policy
We'll update this policy when our practices change. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the platform. The 'Last updated' date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
